Situation: looking for more response
Mindwize devised a fundraising campaign for a client in Germany this year, with a gift for (potential) donors in the mail pack. The aim of such a campaign is to entice as many people as possible to donate to charity. Mindwize's marketers knew from experience that adding a sheet of personalized labels as a premium yields good results.
Wishes of the client
Monika de Wit of Mindwize had previously worked with Lijnco for the production of direct mailings or parts thereof. “We had also regularly purchased labels from Lijnco,” says Monika. “The question was also this time to print personalized labels with a silver and gold look as part of the mail pack for our German client.”
Choice: Lijnco thinks along
Monika de Wit: “Lijnco had meanwhile developed a technique whereby they
provided with a base of gold or silver colored cold foil, which they print in full color before printing the personalization in black and white. For us, that was a unique and interesting product: the labels get a multicolored appearance, which makes the whole even more striking and attractive.”
Solution: FC printing on cold foil
Lijnco devised an efficient production technique for this special premium: apply cold foil (on a roll) in one pass, print FC, personalize black and white and slit labels. This allowed Lijnco to produce the glossy stickers as cheaply as possible. “This is a really special product that we can't get from any of our other manufacturers,” says Monika. “For Mindwize, such an innovative premium is an extra opportunity to help our clients in their search for funds. And we have now also been able to see that the campaign with this specific premium in Germany has certainly had a response-enhancing effect.”

A total of 70,000 sheets with personalized labels, folded crosswise and delivered in sequence according to address database.
