ClimateCalc: Lijnco participates
As of January 1, 2022, Lijnco will participate in ClimateCalc. ClimatCalc enables Lijnco to determine the CO2 footprint of an individual product. The results from ClimateCalc are recognized by the Dutch government and are part of its purchasing policy for graphic products.
ClimateCalc is an initiative of 10 European graphic industry associations/sector organizations. These organizations jointly own the International Association ClimateCalc. The calculations from ClimateCalc are endorsed by the umbrella European trade organization Intergraf. The Intergraf Recommendation is the only international graphical standard for carbon footprint calculation in the world. This standard is important because it ensures that everyone who uses this standard calculates the CO2 footprint on the same basis.
ClimateCalc is in accordance with the ISO standard 14064-1, ISO 16759 and the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG protocol). To participate in ClimateCalc, Lijnco is subject to an annual audit of its emissions inventory.
