Sustainability - less impact on the environment

At Lijnco we have an eye for sustainability and we try to burden the environment as little as possible in everything we do and make. Our care for the environment is reflected in our production methods, the purchase of materials and energy, and in waste management.

As a printer you are in a difficult industry when it comes to environmental care and sustainability. Due to the nature of what we do and the materials and techniques that are required, it is unfortunately still unavoidable today that the environment is burdened. But that doesn't mean we give up on that. We are constantly aware of our responsibility towards the environment. Where possible, we switch to materials and business processes that spare the environment as much as possible.

Sustainability measures

In concrete terms, this means, among other things, that:

• We test the sustainability policy at all our suppliers
• modern chemistry-free CTP equipment is used in the manufacture of the printing forms
• at the printing presses the use of acids, chloroform liquids and IPA (isopropyl alcohol) is greatly reduced and avoided where possible.
• the printing process is becoming increasingly automated with a focus on quality and environmentally conscious printing, resulting in less waste.
• our waste is separated and the plastic packaging materials are also collected separately. Certain materials are reused and we switch to environmentally friendly packaging methods as much as possible.
• our environmental management system is ISO 14001:2004 certified and we meet the criteria set by the government for Sustainable Procurement.
• we are also FSC®-certified . FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) stands for responsible management and conservation of forests.
