Direct Mail for WIBO Elektroheizungen

 

Lijnco annually produces millions of direct mails in countless sizes and shapes for customers across Europe. Today we focus the spotlight on a production for Wibo Elektroheizungen, a producer of electric heating from Germany.

 

In a short time frame, we produced hundreds of thousands of self-mailers in batches, franked them and shipped them to customers all over Germany. Because it was a personalized mailing, we restructured the customer data with which we achieved reliable output, and we also optimized the postage strategy to keep the shipping costs as low as possible.

 

As can be expected from Lijnco, we have managed to innovate production again this time. Normally we fold and glue in one go on our new Popp Smartmail and personalization is a separate step, but with this mailing a special personalization printing unit has been placed in the line as the last step before fulfillment. After testing, it turned out that even fewer copies were lost in this way and that operators can anticipate problems more quickly, with less waste being created here as well. Combining these steps into one print run saves time and because personalization is only the last step in the process, the customer has more time to compile customer data.
