Why this step?
Strategy
The purchase of this machine is all about relevance for our customer. 5 years ago it was decided to focus on 3 prio segments, Direct Mail, Loyalty and Security print. In order to 'participate' in the market, to be competitive, we will have to be able to play at champions league level. When we look at Security print, ie our branch of secure printing and Loyalty, we achieve this high level with products such as scratch cards, hatch cards, savings stamps and stickers in all shapes and sizes. The purchase of this finishing machine is a big step to be able to do the same within the DM segment.
Advantages
That high level is not only related to the product, but also to independence, production time, flexibility and risk reduction. There are also environmental benefits because it is no longer necessary to change production locations for the various steps. However, buying a machine is one thing, but investing in people is just as important. Lijnco has also taken a step in this respect by expanding the team and training. It is the combination of man and machine and the know-how that is built up with it that distinguishes this kind of complicated graphic products.
